Day 10 In Lampang (Sea-Teacher SEAMEO Program)
Monday 29 January 2018 is the first day to teach
in the class in Sea Teacher Program. I have three classes in Monday, 2 hours in
grade 4 and 1 hour in grade 5. At 08.30-09.30 i have a schedule in grade 4,the
topic for grade 4 is Light Movement,
Sources, And Solar Cells and the indicator is Experiment and classify objects
bases on visualizing from sources of light. I demonstrate how to making shadow of a puppet
in the class. I want the students know a concept that the dark area behind the
object which is caused by the blocking object is called shadow and how the
shadow can produce. For this activity, i need some materials like Origami paper,
flashlight and a midrib of a coconut. At 09.30-10.30 i have a schedule in grade
5, the topic for grade 5 is Sound
Production and Travelling of Sounds Through a Medium and the indicator is
Experiment and explain the origin and the propagation of sound.I ask the
student to do 2 activities based on their books. First activity is activity 6.1
Sound around us, students sit in the class and all of them keep silent and
listen a sounds that they hear in the class then they write down all of sources
of the sounds that students
hear and
describe the sounds. The second activity is activity 6.2 Sound from a ruler,
the student observe the sounds that produce from a ruler when the end of the
ruler which has a different length of the end
pushed by student with stronger force and not strong force. Then the
student compare the result. At
14.30-15.30 i have a schedule in grade 4 again and the topic is shadow
formation and shadow types. In this meeting i introduce them about Umbra and
Penumbra, i give them an explanation about umbra and penumbra by light an object then ask the student to see the object's shadow and show them which is umbra and penumbra , i also show them
some videos in order to more understand about it.
