Day 2, In Lampang, Thailand

21 January 2018

On Sunday morning, 21 January 2018, yuli, me and rizky went for breakfast. We are looking for shops that sell halal food, but many stores are closed on Sundays. When we were at the intersection, there was a veiled woman who opened her car door and called us in Thai. However, because we did not understand what the woman said, we just said that we are from Indonesia in english, then the woman showed us a shop that sells halal food because she saw me and yuli wearing a veil. Muslims of Lampang are a minority, but they care about each other. Then, when we finished buying food, there was someone who called us to his house and gave us some fruits for free. Lampang's people are very kind and friendly. After that, we went to one of the parks in the lampang area and took some photos for the documentation, then we went home. At 2 pm we were invited by Mrs. Autchariya to pick up our friend named Jean also from SEAMEO program which come from filiphina at Lampang Airport. After from the airport, we went to Central Market of Lampang to buy simcard which we can use during in Thailand. Simcard price is about 540 Baht or about 235.000 rupiah, quite expensive when compared with the simcard in Indonesia.

Thailand is famous for night market and street food, so at 6.30 pm we went to Night market around The Ratsadaphisek Bridge or Lampang's people called it White bridge. Night market is only open at night in the weekend, there sold a variety of food and souvenirs. We buy some food like rice and seafood then we eat it under the white bridge while enjoying the scenery. it was amzing moment!
